GUBI reintroduces, after more than 50 years out of production, the iconic
Lotus Table Lamp, a
table lamp designed by Carlo Nason in 1969. The design reflects the designer’s fascination with form, light, experimentation, and the expressive possibilities of glass, while celebrating the exceptional craftsmanship of Murano glassmaking. Made from four nested layers of mouth-blown glass, its distinctive silhouette takes inspiration from the delicate overlapping petals of a lotus flower. Each glass element is crafted using the traditional “pulegoso” technique, giving the surface a varied, semi-opaque texture that creates depth and ensures that every piece is unique. The multiple layers subtly conceal the bulb and diffuse its light, producing a soft, warm glow that brings an intimate and calming atmosphere to any space. Reintroduced into production for the first time by
GUBI, the Lotus Table Lamp brings a rare piece of Italian design history back to contemporary interiors.
